For the Son of Man came to seek and save those who are lost. Luke 19:10 (NLT)
We are all called to bring the good news of Jesus to those who are lost in this dark and dying world. We aren’t suppose to just let “the church” do it. YOU are the church! You are a member of the body of Christ if you are a believer, and if you are obedient to the word of God. The church is not a building. Jesus didn’t suffer and die for you to sit in a pew as a spectator and watch the weekly Sunday event.
And then he [Jesus] told them, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone. Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved. But anyone who refuses to believe will be condemned. Mark 16:15-16
Jesus told you to GO and tell everyone the good news that Jesus saves. Why? Because if you don’t they will be condemned.
I’m not talking about beating everyone over the head with your Bible.
The only way you will draw others to Jesus is by showing them His love – His love that flows through you. There is no other way than love. Not by words alone – but by actions! God has entrusted you to this task and makes it very clear that without love you are nothing.
You must have a heart for the lost!
Have you read the book 23 Minutes in Hell by Bill Wise? It is his story about what he saw, heard and felt when the Lord allowed him to experience hell. After reading his experience, I feel so blessed that I am a believer in Jesus!

But oh, the pain, agony and torment unbelievers will face for all eternity without Jesus is heart-wrenching. Jesus wants us, to care about that.
The Lord has called you, me and every other believer to have a heart for the lost so that they will never have to experience the torment of hell for all eternity. Jesus wants everyone to be saved (1 Timothy 2:4). He doesn’t want anyone to go to hell. Jesus wants everyone to have eternal life in heaven with Him.
If we don’t tell the lost, who will?
It is not your job to save a person – that is the work of the Holy Spirit. It your job to plant the seeds, the good news of what Jesus has done on the cross. They also need to know that there are consequences if they don’t believe. The choice, however, is always theirs.
How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of the messenger who brings good news, the good news of peace and salvation, the news that the God of Israel reigns! Isaiah 52:7 (NLT)
