His Home in Your Hearts

I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him.  Ephesians 3:16-17a (NLT)

Do you desire God’s glorious, unlimited resources to empower you?

Do you desire inner strength through his Spirit?

Do you desire that Christ makes his home in your heart?

Then you must trust in him! Trusting in God is trusting in his Word and his ways and not in your ways.

You must be Kingdom minded. You must search, seek and most importantly obey the Word of God for all things in your life – great and small.

If we (you and me) members of the body of Christ, look and act just like the world, what good are we to Christ? Does he truly make his home in our hearts if we don’t trust in him for everything? And believe me, I am not condemning you, but we must each be convicted. We are all guilty of trusting in ourselves at one time or the other, myself included. But you and I must strive individually to be all Christ died for us to be, and strive in unity to represent Jesus faithfully.  If we don’t who will want what we have?

In Proverbs 3:5 & 6 God teaches us:

Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding.  Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.”

So many people question what God’s will is for their life.  Do you?

I am convinced most of us make it too complicated. God wants you to be like a little child, and little children don’t worry about anything – they just trust. God wants to teach us by his Word and by his Spirit. You are to seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously and obediently to what he shows you, and he will give you everything you need. He will also show you which path to take for your life, and it will always be the path of peace. I believe with all my heart it can be that simple.

Jesus said in John 14:1

“Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me.

When you trust in God your roots will grow down deep in his love and that will keep you strong.

God will give you power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high and how deep his love is.

You will experience the love of Christ, which is really too great to fully understand.

You will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.

Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen.  Ephesians 3:17b-21

Talk with your community how individually and together you can trust in Christ more, so that you are each assured he will make his home in your hearts.

Be blessed!
